There continues to be huge demand for good quality lettings across London and the South East. Yet the challenges are also considerable. Landlords, whether first-time or experienced, not only have to find suitable tenants, but also ensure their properties comply with a bewildering mix of legislation.

Our extensive network across the capital and Home Counties means we can have your property let on the same day, providing it meets the necessary requirements. We cover the private sector and are also an approved Social Housing provider for local authorities. Our in-house team of experts will also ensure your property is fully compliant with local and national laws that govern residential lettings.

AMS Housing is a registered provider of Social Housing for multiple local authorities in London and the South East, including Redbridge, Kensington and Chelsea, and Waltham Forest. It means we can provide affordable homes to tenants who are low-waged or on benefits. As in the private sector, we work on behalf of our landlords to maintain their properties so they meet the government’s Decent Homes standard. We also collect the rent, and contribute to a clean and safe environment for the local community in which the properties are located.

Currently most councils pay slightly below market levels. However, such is the demand that any lettings made through a local authority are guaranteed for the entire term of the agreement, meaning there are no void periods in rent.

Part of the responsibility of being a landlord is to ensure your property is safe and fit for purpose. We help our clients to fulfil their obligations through our compliance services, which include a tenancy deposit protection scheme, gas and electric certification, a furniture and furnishings safety check, energy performance certificates (EPCs), smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and ensuring houses in multiple occupation (HMO) are managed in accordance with legal guidelines.
